Concept work

How we'd structure a site for a Southwest Florida pool company.

This is a demonstration project. We invented the company so we could show real design and conversion thinking without misrepresenting anyone's business.

Concept Project — Not Client Work

Important note about this example

About this example

Sandpiper Pool & Patio is a fictional company invented for this demonstration. It is not a client, it is not a real business, and no work shown here was performed for anyone. Any resemblance to an actual company is unintentional.

Pool service, repair & outdoor living

Sandpiper Pool & Patio

Cape Coral, FL — fictional location

Intended audience

Homeowners in Cape Coral and Fort Myers searching on a phone for pool resurfacing, screen enclosure repair, or weekly pool service — usually while standing in the backyard looking at the problem.

Conversion objective

Turn a search-driven mobile visitor into a phone call or an on-site estimate request within one screen of arriving, without making them read a company history first.

Homepage preview

Desktop and mobile, designed in that order — mobile first.

Both previews are built in code rather than pasted in as a screenshot, so what you're looking at is real layout, real type, and real spacing.

Design decisions

Every choice here has a reason behind it.

These are the decisions that separate a site that looks fine from one that actually produces phone calls.
  1. The phone number is a tap target, not a footer detail

A persistent call button sits in the header at every screen size. On mobile it stays reachable with a thumb. Calling is the fastest conversion for a service business, so it never requires scrolling to find.

  2. Service area is confirmed in the hero

The first screen answers 'do you work where I live?' Visitors who have to hunt for that answer call the next company instead.

  3. Services are named the way customers search

'Pool resurfacing' and 'screen repair' rather than internal category names. The words on the page match the words typed into the search bar.

  4. One primary action per screen

The high-contrast accent color is reserved exclusively for the primary action. Secondary options are visible but visually quieter, so there is never ambiguity about the intended next step.

  5. The estimate form asks for the minimum

Name, phone, service, and city — enough to call back and qualify. Every additional required field is a reason to abandon the form.

  6. Photography slots are sized for real job photos

The layout reserves space for actual completed work rather than stock imagery. Real photos of real jobs outperform generic photography for local trust.

  7. Readable at arm's length in sunlight

Body text stays at comfortable sizes with strong contrast ratios. A homeowner reading outdoors on a bright day is a real use case in Southwest Florida.

Example call-to-action flow

What a homeowner actually experiences.

From a search result to a lead in the owner's inbox, with nothing in the way.
  1. 1

    Arrival

A homeowner searches 'pool resurfacing cape coral' on a phone and lands on the homepage.

  2. 2

    Qualification in one screen

The hero confirms the service and the service area immediately. No scrolling required to know they're in the right place.

  3. 3

    Choice of action

Tap to call for someone ready to talk now, or request an estimate for someone browsing after hours.

  4. 4

    Short form

Four fields: name, phone, service needed, and city. Accessible labels, inline validation, visible errors.

  5. 5

    Honest confirmation

A confirmation screen that states what actually happens next and when, rather than a generic 'thanks!' message.

  6. 6

    Tracked handoff

The lead arrives by email and the submission is recorded as a conversion event, so the owner can see which pages produce work.

For a real client

What would change if this were your business.

A concept demonstrates structure and thinking. Everything below gets replaced with facts and assets that belong to you.
  • Real photography of completed jobs, replacing every image placeholder
  • The client's actual logo, brand colors, and typography
  • Verified license and insurance details, exactly as the client provides them
  • The real service list, priced or unpriced at the client's preference
  • Genuine reviews, pulled from the client's own Google Business Profile with permission
  • The client's true service area and any travel or minimum-job policies
  • Integration with the CRM, scheduling, or invoicing software the client already uses
  • Analytics and conversion tracking connected to the client's own accounts

Client case studies

As client projects launch and we have permission to share them, they’ll be published here with real results. We’d rather show nothing than show something we made up.
