How billing works

No surprises on the invoice.

  • All displayed website and setup prices are starting prices.
  • Final pricing depends on the scope agreed in your written proposal.
  • A 50% deposit is required before website work begins.
  • The remaining balance is due before final launch or ownership transfer.
  • Client-requested additions may change cost and timing, and require approval first.
  • Monthly plans include a defined amount of work, not unlimited work.
  • Third-party expenses are separate unless specifically included.

Ownership

What belongs to you.

The short version: your domain, your accounts, your data.
  • You should own your domain name, registered in your own account.
  • Your Google Workspace account and all email data belong to you. Google bills you directly.
  • During an active Managed Website Care or Growth Partnership plan, your website may remain in a separate Vistarela-managed Vercel project.
  • Every managed client website uses a separate project and separate source repository, with isolated credentials.
  • After final payment, website ownership and source-code rights follow your written agreement and any third-party license restrictions.
  • If you don't want managed hosting, we provide a standard handoff to a compatible client-owned hosting account.
  • A Vercel project transfer and a source-repository transfer are separate operational steps.
  • Third-party accounts should be in your name wherever practical.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

If something here isn't clear, ask — we'd rather answer before you commit than after.
How much does a website cost?

A Starter Website begins at $2,500 and a Premium Website begins at $5,000. Both are starting prices — the final figure depends on how many pages you need, what functionality is involved, and whether we're producing content.

For most service businesses that's the value of one or two jobs. The website works every day after that.

Every project begins with discovery. Features, integrations, timing, and final pricing are confirmed in your written proposal before development begins.

What's the difference between Starter and Premium?

A Starter Website is a focused professional site — up to five agreed pages, a contact form, responsive layouts, and two revision rounds. It's built to establish trust and get customers to take the next step.

A Premium Website is scoped individually. It's for businesses that need more pages, a more distinctive design direction, editable content, richer interactions, or approved integrations.

If you're not sure which fits, describe the business and we'll tell you honestly which one it is — including if the answer is the cheaper one.

What isn't included in the starting price?

Ecommerce, booking systems, memberships, custom databases, extensive copywriting, photography, advanced animation, and custom integrations aren't part of a Starter Website. Any of them can be added — they're quoted separately so the base price stays honest.

Domain registration, paid software, and third-party subscriptions are billed to you directly by those providers.

Do I own my website?

After final payment, website ownership and source-code rights are handled according to your written agreement, subject to any third-party license restrictions on components used.

You should own your domain name in your own account. If you'd rather not use a managed plan, we provide a standard handoff to a compatible hosting account you control.

Where is my website hosted?

While you're on Managed Website Care or a Growth Partnership, your website may run in a separate Vistarela-managed Vercel project. Every managed website uses its own project and its own source repository, with credentials kept isolated.

If the plan ends, we provide a standard handoff to a compatible client-owned hosting account, in line with your agreement and once outstanding invoices are resolved. A Vercel project transfer and a source-repository transfer are separate operational steps.

Do I have to take a monthly plan?

No. Managed Website Care and the Growth Partnership are both optional. You can launch and manage hosting yourself, or bring in someone else.

Most businesses take a plan because they'd rather not think about hosting and updates — but it's your call, and the website gets built either way.

What does Managed Website Care include?

$200 per month covers hosting in our managed environment for reasonable standard usage, deployment management, basic technical upkeep, email support about the existing website, and up to 60 minutes of minor text or image changes each month.

Most of what you're paying for is that the site stays online, current, and monitored, and that there's someone to contact when something needs changing. The included time is there so small updates never turn into a separate invoice.

It does not include new pages, new functionality, SEO campaigns, or unlimited changes, and unused update time doesn't roll over. It's available for websites we built or have reviewed and approved.

What does a Growth Partnership include?

$500 per month includes everything in Managed Website Care plus up to three hours of scheduled design or development work, monthly prioritisation of what to improve next, help reviewing your available analytics, and priority over non-plan requests.

It's an ongoing design and development relationship rather than more expensive hosting. We don't guarantee traffic, rankings, leads, or revenue — no one honestly can. Unused development time doesn't roll over.

Can you build a web or mobile application?

Yes — customer portals, booking flows, dashboards, account experiences, and internal business tools, as web or mobile applications.

We don't publish a starting price for applications, because feasibility and cost genuinely depend on the users, functionality, integrations, and security requirements. Applications are scoped after discovery and technical review.

How does business email setup work?

Business Email Setup starts at $250 and covers one domain, initial Google Workspace setup, up to five licensed users, up to ten aliases or role addresses, domain verification, standard delivery records including SPF and DKIM with initial DMARC where appropriate, sending and receiving tests, and basic administrator guidance.

The Google Workspace account is yours. You remain the primary owner and Super Admin, and Google bills you directly for licences — that subscription cost is not included in our setup fee. Anyone needing their own inbox and login may require a paid licence.

Migrating historical email, extensive device setup, compliance configuration, and archiving are quoted separately.

What does Workspace Administration cover?

$75 per month covers one domain and up to five active users: routine user, alias and group changes, basic administrator settings, basic admin-side delivery troubleshooting, up to 30 minutes of scheduled administration, and guidance on standard account and security settings.

We do not routinely read, monitor, or respond to your email, and you keep ownership and primary administrative control. This isn't unlimited technical support, and it doesn't guarantee uninterrupted delivery or recovery of deleted information.

Will my website show up on Google?

We build with sound fundamentals: clean structure, descriptive titles and headings, fast loading, mobile-friendly layouts, and a readable sitemap.

We don't guarantee rankings, and it's worth being sceptical of anyone who does. Search results depend on competition, your reviews, your Google Business Profile, and factors no developer controls.

How long does a project take?

It depends on scope and on how quickly content and feedback come back. Your proposal includes a target timeline based on the work actually agreed.

We don't publish fixed completion dates on the website, because a date promised before anyone has seen your project isn't worth much.

How does payment work?

A 50% deposit is required before website work begins, and the remaining balance is due before final launch or ownership transfer.

Every project gets a written scope first. If you request additions along the way, we tell you what they change about cost and timing, and nothing extra proceeds without your approval.
